As the code of these Sonys suggests, they're designed for DJ use, so have features such as ‘reversible earcups for easy single-sided monitoring'.

We can confirm that they feel solidly made and are comfortable on-ear – but they sound unimpressive.

There's a muffled effect to the whole delivery that prevents real detail or clarity coming through, while bass is poorly defined and overbearing.

Treble, also, is lacking clarity. They might be DJ in style, but they fall short in key areas.
