Live now on Amazon, the deal offers the 55-inch Sony Bravia 8 for just $1398. That's a healthy saving considering it normally costs $1799.99. You can also grab it at Best Buy for $1399.99, which has multiple discounts across the Bravia 8 range, bringing the 65- and 77-inch models down to their lowest point ever, too.

The Sony Bravia 8 is a What Hi-Fi? Awards winner for good reason and with a $400 saving on the 55-inch model, there's great picture and audio quality to enjoy at a discount price.

In our dedicated viewing rooms, we put the Sony Bravia 8 to the test and our five-star verdict accompanied by a What Hi-Fi? Award should tell you why we're recommending this as one of the best TVs of the year. While our testing was of the 65-inch model, the specs are the same for the 55-inch.

At a remarkable price of just $1398, given everything the Sony Bravia 8 has to offer, we can't quite believe it's at its lowest price point ever.

The Sony Bravia 8 is a great addition to the Japanese home cinema giant's line-up. As the only offering from Sony this year, it had a lot to prove. And, our verdict was that while it's not a massive step forward, "the very fact Sony has managed to improve it at all is impressive, especially as the upgrades target the key areas cinephiles care about."

These key areas include the Bravia 8's WOLED panel 10 per cent brighter than its predecessor, the Sony A80L, meaning it can boast maximum brightness to those looking for an OLED upgrade. It shares the same Bravia XR processor as the Bravia 9, and it continues to boast Acoustic Surface Audio+ tech meaning this Sony product can continue to excel in audio performance.

If you're a gamer, you'll be running at full speed when plugging your PS5 or Xbox One Series X into one of the two HDMI 2.1 ports. Plus, with Dolby Vision Gaming support present, as well as supporting 4K/120Hz, VRR, and ALLM, it's a solid setup.

The final result? For an OLED TV, the Sony Bravia 8 is an incredible set. Our reviews team gave it a five-star at full price, but with this discount it's an even more alluring offer.
