The new Bose QuietComfort Headphones range has arrived, and there’s plenty to unpack. Whether it’s spatial audio, marathon battery life or next-gen noise-cancelling technology, Bose has you covered. Let's take a closer look at the options...

Want class-leading over-ears? The new Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones – the replacements for the much-loved Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 – boast a metal headband, game-changing tech, and up to 24 hours battery life (a big improvement on the 700s).

The big draw, however, is Bose Immersive Audio. Bose’s next-level spatial audio processing tech promises to reveal “true depth, spatialising what you're hearing by virtually placing it in front of you”. The US audio giant reckons it should make your music feel “realer than ever before” – no matter the source. Bose also includes its CustomTune calibration technology.

Bose’s next-level spatial audio processing tech promises to reveal “true depth".

As you might expect, high-end noise-cancelling comes as standard. The new QC Ultra Headphones feature an Immersive Mode that combines 3D audio with full noise-cancelling. Fancy grabbing a coffee? Aware Mode lets you engage in conversation without having to remove an ear cup.

Bluetooth 5.3 – complete with support for higher-quality aptX Adaptive – should deliver all the cutting-edge connectivity you could wish for, while the always-solid Bose Music App offers Adjustable EQ settings for those who want to dial in the sound.

We’ve yet to review the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones (£449.95) in full but having taken them for a quick spin, we were hugely impressed by their open and detailed sound. They’re available at Currys from 10th October in two finishes: Black or White Smoke.

Want to enjoy the wonders of spatial audio in a smaller package? Well, now you can. The new QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds with Bose Immersive Audio and CustomTune let you experience ultra-real 3D sound and customisable noise-cancelling, whenever and wherever!

The sleek buds get a new metallic finish and all the features of the original QuietComfort Earbuds, including nifty touch controls and an Aware Mode. Expect six hours of listening time (or four with Immersive Audio switched on) plus a case that holds up to three additional full charges.

It’s also worth noting that Bose claims to have improved call quality in tricky environments – the new QC Ultra Earbuds can prioritise the mic that is picking up the least background noise, and also filter noise out so your call sounds crystal-clear.

The new QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds will be available at Currys from 10th October, priced at £299.95.

Want to enjoy Bose’s state-of-the-art noise-cancelling tech without breaking the bank? The company has launched a brand new pair of over-ears that sit just below the QC Ultra Headphones. Simply called the Bose QuietComfort Headphones, they replace the legendary QuietComfort 45s.

Alongside a bold new design buyers will be treated to a raft of new features including the ability to adjust levels of noise-cancelling and set custom noise-cancelling modes. There’s also multipoint Bluetooth and up to 24 hours of battery life.

Bose has shaken things up when it comes to colourways, too. The new cans are available in a stylish limited edition Cypress Green, as well as the usual Black and White Smoke.

The Bose QuietComfort Headphones are available now from Currys, priced at £349.95.
