The ZonePlayer S5 will sell for £349 upon its release on November 10th, and boasts five speakers each with individual digital amplifiers.
Just connect to mains power and use the free Sonos Controller App on an iPhone or iPod Touch (not supplied) to access your iTunes music library and play your tunes.
Plug one of the ZonePlayers – or a Sonos ZoneBridge – in to your router to then add further ZonePlayer S5 systems simply by connecting to mains power in the room you want music.
Sonos is suggesting you control the system with the free Sonos Controller App, though existing Sonos remotes – the CR100, CR200 and desktop controller for PC or Mac – will all work with this system.
The app looks very similar to the layout of the new Sonos remote, as bundled with the BU250 system, and connects intuitively to your music library on your PC.
You'll also have access to a wealth of internet radio stations on each unit as well as streaming services from the likes of Napster and Deezer, provided one ZonePlayer S5 is connected to your router.
Out on November 10th for £349, the bundle includes one ZonePlayer S5, an ethernet cable, power cord and all the set-up software.
