Richter has conjured up a spellbinding deal to incentivise hi-fi enthusiasts to buy its latest Wizard loudspeakers. Between now and 30th November (or until stocks last), you can now get 15 per cent off the $2,899 Wizard S6plus when you trade in your old Wizard speakers – or any other model from another brand.
The deal is limited to one pair of Wizard S6plus loudspeakers purchased per customer during the promotional period, and the speakers being traded in to receive the discount must be in working condition.
The Wizard S6plus floorstanders arrived earlier this year alongside the smaller floorstanding Harlequin and Merlin standmounts, replacing the previous 'S6' iterations. The trio of Series 6 'plus' speakers benefit from the engineering improvements developed for the company's two Special Edition Wizard and Excalibur models last year.
To that end, the Wizard S6plus and co adopt the new soft dome tweeter and improved 6.5-inch mid-bass driver found on the Special Edition speakers, while bass management and tuning are also enhanced courtesy of an additional Bass Port Puck to offer a level between fully plugged (not enough bass) or unplugged (too much bass). The Wizard S6plus also get a re-tuned crossover to get the most out of the new drivers.
We had the pleasure of hearing the Wizard S6plus at the Sydney Hi-Fi Show in April, where they fully impressed as one of the least expensive speakers on the showfloor with their tight yet bouncy, beautiful vocals. And they have already enjoyed their fair share of acclaim from What Hi-Fi?'s two sister publications: Australian Hi-Fi magazine called them "the best Wizards yet... cleaner, tighter and more extended bass, enhanced tonal accuracy across the midrange, and a sweeter, fractionally bouncier and rather more lively high-frequency presentation," while Sound+Image recognised them as an 'Ultimate product of the last 30 years'. Not bad, eh?
Interested? We don't blame you. To organise your demo and/or trade-in, contact or visit one of Richter's dealers.
