But as well as being strong, the rack is designed to help your system keep its cool: the shelves are slatted to improve airflow around components, and the uprights are available in a variety of lengths for optimal spacing.
The shelves, which can be decoupled for greater vibration isolation, come in three sizes – SVX for standard hi-fi components, the double-width SV2X and the even larger SVXL.
They're made of 2,5cm thick MDF with real wood veneers – oak, maple, cherry, rosenut, dark oak and black –, and the uprights are available in 10cm, 14cm, 18cm, 21.6cm, 25.6cm and 32.6cm lengths. They're of a solid concave design for added strength.
Prices start from around £180 per shelf including columns, and you can design your own rack using the product builder on the Quadraspire website, then order from a local dealer.
