It may not be as dinky as the new iPod nano, but the snappily-named SA9345 MP4 player from Philips is 9cm tall, weighs only 48g and comes with 4GB memory capacity capable of storing up to 1000 MP3 tracks or 2000 WMA songs.
Alternatively, you can fill it with 1120 photos or up to seven hours of WMV video content, all of which can be viewed on the 1.8in colour screen.
Control is via a touch-sensitive screen similar to that on the iPod Touch, enabling you to control everything with the tap, drag or swipe of a finger.
The SA9345 supports 8-320kbps and VBR MP3 bit-rates, 32-192kbps WMA audio bit-rates and 320 x 240 resolution WMV9 content. It's also compatible with Microsoft's PlayForSure system, and files can be transferred via USB 2.0.
Claimed battery life is up to 10 hours of continuous music playback, or up to two hours of video. The 4GB model costs £129, and there's a cheaper 2GB version (SA9325) at £99.
