NEWS: Ferrari wireless speaker system - perfect for your garage?

This is the amazing Ferrari Art.Engine audio system, custom-made to order, costing £12,999, and available now in the UK through London-based custom installation specialists The Pleasure Home.

Hand-made by David Wiener Ventures, a US-based company describing itself as "a design and innovation studio that creates some of the world’s most exclusive and prestigious products", the Art.Engine is an all-in one wireless amplification and speaker package, standing just under 120cm tall and coming in a range of Ferrari-themed colours.

It's designed to stream music wirelessly from a computer, or you could also plug your iPod into it to create a monster dock system, and produces stereo sound from one enclosure, which comes complete with carbon-fibre baffles and "racing-style NACA cooling ducts".

Inside the tower, which is made from aluminium and carbon-fibre, are the IEEE 802.11 wi-fi receiver system, digital signal processing, and four 200W PWM Class D amplifiers. Each channel uses eight 7.5cm custom-built carbon-fibre-coned mid/bass units and a 33mm ScanSpeak tweeter.

The system weighs just over 48kg, and is available in Ferrari Rosso Corsa red, Argento Nurburgring silver, Grigio Silverstone grey or Nero black with other Ferrari colours available to order.

It's being made in a limited edition of just 1000 units, and can be seen and heard in action at The Pleasure Home's showroom in Bushey, Hertfordshire.
