We first clapped eyes on the Fatman iTube 452 at the Bristol Sound and Vision Show back in February, but now we can bring you more details.
The iTube 452 has nine valves, costs £1499 and the package includes a matching iPod dock. It also has four line inputs for connecting external sources such as a CD player, and the standard remote will control your iPod as well as the amp.
Power output is 45w per channel, and cables are supplied for connecting the docking station to the amp, a separate cable for connecting a CD player to the amp and a video cable for connecting the iPod dock to a TV.
James Roth of Fatman says: "There is more to creating a valve amp than merely planting a row of tubes: to deliver the delightful warm tones properly, without sacrificing attack and pace, you must meticulously engineer the unit – and not settle for a cosy-sounding second best."
