NEWS: CSE launches Planar LCD TVs and world's first THX-approved plasma

Distributor CSE Solutions is bringing a range of new flatscreens to the UK this summer.

First up is a range of four LCD models from Planar: all feature Full HD, 1080p capability, Advanced Colour Management II and Faroudja TrueLife Technology to produce richer, more detailed pictures.

They're available in 52, 47, 42 and 37in screen sizes, come with twin HDMI connections and RS-232 control. Prices are still to be confirmed.

If you want an even bigger screen, CSE is offering the Vidikron VP-6500VHD Full HD plasma screen, which it claims is the world's first THX-certified flat-panel display.

It also has an IntelliWide function for viewing 4:3 content in widescreen without appreciable picture degradation, and ISF calibration modes for optimum viewing under diverse lighting conditions.

For those who want the ultimate home cinema experience, then a projector is the only way to go. The latest addition to CSE's InFocus range is the IN82, a 1080p, DLP design that's likely to cost around £3000-£3500.
