It’s time to rethink the humble gaming laptop. If the term makes you think of overclocked eyesores, you need to think again. MSI’s latest GeForce RTX 40 series feature eye-catching designs as well as serious power upgrades, making them ideal for gamers, content creators, business people, and anyone looking for a truly next-generation laptop.

The MSI GeForce RTX 40 series is split into six sub-series: the Titan GT, Raider GE, Vector GP, Stealth, Pulse, Katana and Cyborg series. They’re all different specs and are ideal for different cases, but all share the same common features: luxurious aesthetics, extreme performance thanks to the all-new MSI Overboost Ultra Technology, and innovative effects with the Mystic light with panoramic aurora lighting technology.

Let’s see what’s on offer.

A gaming Titan

The Titan GT series is the ultimate desktop replacement. The flagship Titan GT77 HX is an absolute beast: max it out with an Intel Core i9-13980HX packing eight performance cores and 16 efficient cores, and you’ll be ready to handle multitasking across processor-hungry programs and the latest performance-demanding games alike.

It’s built with the ultra-efficient NVIDIA Ada Lovelace architecture (named after the first computer programmer), enabling a quantum leap in performance, rendering lifelike virtual worlds with full ray tracing. With the Max-Q suite of technologies optimising system performance, power, battery life, and acoustics for peak efficiency, it’ll work harder for longer.

It’s a beauty to behold too, thanks to its 17.3-inch 4K MiniLED screen. With a sky-high refresh rate of 144Hz (meaning the on-screen image refreshes 144 times every second), it makes gaming blur a thing of the past. Prices start at £5299.

Zoom Raider

If it’s luxury you’re after, look no further than the Raider GE series. It boasts a new luxury design that’s topped off perfectly by the Mystic Light with matrix lightbar – this panoramic aurora lighting design expands across the entire front of the chassis, granting you the user granular control over the lighting effects. With virtually endless combinations on offer from the 16.8 million colours, it truly is a laptop like no other.

There’s plenty of power under the hood, too. With up to an i9-13980HX with RTX 4090, and a maximum 250W total power of CPU and GPU combined, your opponents won’t stand a chance, whether they’re in the boardroom or the online battle arena. Prices start at £2199.

Vector GP: excellence as standard

Talking of performance, the Vector GP series combines powerful performance with the latest technology to devastating effect. It features up to i7-13700H with RTX 4070, and like all the other laptops featured here apart from the Cyborg series, it features MUX Switch – this directly connects the discrete GPU to the display, bypassing the CPU and integrated GPU to enable even faster performance thanks to reduced latency and boosted frame rates.

Prices for the Vector GP series start at £1999.

Victory by Stealth

The Stealth series walks the tightrope between performance and portability, giving you the maximum possible power in a package that’s small and light enough to carry with you easily. Choose from 14 inches (for the ultimate in portability), 15.6 inches, 16 inches or 17.3 inches, depending on your need.

Stealth boasts a killer combination of gaming and business features for both work and play. And with up to i9-13900H with RTX 4080, you’ll never be left wanting. Prices start at £1799.

Conquer with Pulse

The Pulse series, meanwhile, is dripping with sci-fi stylings – perfect whether you’re playing the latest space-based shooters or streaming Avatar: The Way of Water. With up to i7-13700H with RTX 4070, its performance truly is out of this world. Prices start at £1699.

Katana craftsmanship

The Katana series is aptly named, as just like its namesake, it’s made using exquisite craftsmanship. Just like forging the Dragon Blade, it’s imbued with a spirit that gives it a timeless energy. And its four-zone RGB keyboard with lightened WASD and specially-designed keycaps will elevate your gaming to another level.

Again, there’s plenty of power on offer, with up to i7-13620H with RTX 4060 at your disposal. Prices start at £1499.

Cyber attack

Rounding off the range is the entry-level Cyborg series. It features a newly designed body with translucent black outlook and a slim and light body, making it the perfect portable gaming machine. Pack it with up to i7-12650H with RTX 4060, and you’ll be fragging your way through enemies before you know it. Prices start at £1249.

With laptops for all needs and budgets, MSI’s GeForce RTX 40 series is guaranteed to have something for you. And you can take advantage of the early bird bundle – buy one of the GeForce RTX 40 series gaming laptops, and you’ll get a free Steam voucher worth $50.
