At the heart of the system is the new HTF8003 three-channel soundbar. It recreates the front soundstage from three loudspeakers housed within a single, inert aluminium enclosure.
The left, right and centre channels each use a three-way speaker system consisting of a KEF Uni-Q driver with 7.5cm mid/bass driver and 15mm high-frequency driver, a 7.5cm woofer and a 7.5cm auxiliary bass radiator (ABR) for extra bass depth.
Designed to work with flatscreen TVs of 42in or larger, the HTF8003 is supplied with a wall-mount bracket and a table stand.
Rear-channel sound is handled by a pair of HTS7001 satellite speakers, with 5cm woofers and 19mm tweeters. Like the soundbar, they can be wall mounted or placed on a shelf or table.
Low frequencies are supplied by the KUBE-2 subwoofer with 200W Class-D amplifier, side-firing 25cm long-throw bass driver and 25cm ABR.
Finished in gloss black, the KEF KHT8005 package will be available from October for £1099.
