Inside the gloss white or piano black cabinet you'll find a pair of 9cm, full-range speakers linked to an "acoustically-tuned" chamber. Amplification is 15w RMS per channel, enough, claims Boston Acoustics, for "a room-filling, high-quality" sound.
There's a palm-sized remote control to go with the system, which will control your iPod, and the unit includes a composite video output to hook it up to your TV, a USB connector and a 3.5mm mini-jack input for hooking up other portable music devices.
The Boston Acoustics i-DS2 will be available in October for £150.
