Samsung has unveiled three new MP3/MP4 players here at IFA, including a crystal-effect update to its K5 player-plus-speaker model.
The S5 - available from mid-September - adds video and Bluetooth support to the original K5 design, plus this new bling-tastic look.
Other features include the ability to use the player as a speaker-phone, plus plug in other audio devices so they can output via its speaker. There's also a 1.8in screen, FM radio and up to 24 hour battery life (5 hours if you use the speaker).
The gloss-black player will come in 2-, 4- and 8GB versions, priced from £119.
The second major launch is the iPod-nano-rivalling P2 - already covered here and to be tested in our November issue, out 20th September.
Samsung revealed plans to add a 16GB model to the P2 range as the higher-capacity flash memory becomes available shortly.
Also new is the youth-focussed T10, an ultra-thin player offering music and video playback at 'iPod-nano-style pricing', according to Samsung.
In addition to a regular interface, T10 users can be guided round its functions by an animated dog - Sammy.
