Fans of the blood-spatter-analyst-turned serial-killer will be able to view it in all its high-definition goriness on Virgin's V+ TV Choice on-demand service.
The show will also be available in standard definition for Virgin customers who don't have the V+ set-top box but who subscribe to TV Choice (free with the XL package, £7/month with the L or M TV packages).
Season three begins with Dexter setting his sights on Freebo, a dope dealer and killer, as his next target. It looks to be just another night of his dark justice, but things don't go as planned.
The first episode will be available on Virgin TV Choice from April 26th, with a new episode being added each week.
Katharine Burns Rivington, managing director of content and strategy at Virgin Media, says: "This is just one example of our commitment to bringing more HD to our customers, be it via linear channels or our extensive on-demand service."
Sky already broadcasts the FX HD channel as part of its high-definition satellite TV service.
