CEDIA UK EXPO 2009: Panasonic brings custom install plasma monitors to the UK

Panasonic CHT

They're available exclusively in the UK through distributor AWE and can only be purchased from authorised dealers who install the screens as part of a high-end AV system.

AWE is now signing up a network of premium dealers to handle the new monitors, which are available in 50in and 65in sizes.

"The Panasonic CHT range is rapidly being confirmed as the best screens Panasonic have ever produced, and as monitors, show the professional video experience that Panasonic has drawn on in creating them," says Stuart Tickle, managing director of AWE.

The CHT range currently consists of the TH-65VX100 and TH-50VX100e with both monitors having 18-bit chipsets, four HDMI inputs and RS-232 connectivity for system control.

The screens have a "pencilled" black extruded aluminium finish, and the image processor can be adjusted to suit the application and source material if required. ISF calibration is supported with day and night settings.

What's more, the plasma panels for the range-topping TH-65VX100 are hand selected from the production line to make sure only the best ones make it into a CHT screen.

We've asked for a review sample and hope to test one of the Panasonic CHT monitors soon.
