There are big savings to be had on this big-screen TV. Samsung’s new 98in Q80C TV promises superb visuals on a truly cinematic scale, with its QLED technology delivering all the benefits of OLED with added brightness. If you want a next-gen TV at a size that will seriously impress, it’s the TV for you.

Huge performance

A screen this size calls for its own technology, and that’s what Samsung has developed. The Supersize Picture Enhancer tech uses AI to ensure that all content is optimised for the 98in display. So whatever you’re watching will look right at home on the big screen.

It’s powered by Samsung’s Neural Quantum Processor, the AI chip that’s won rave reviews. Harnessing the power of 20 neural networks, this dynamically optimises the picture and sound on a scene-by-scene basis to deliver the best audio visual experience possible. And because it uses Quantum Dots, the Q80C is brighter than most traditional OLED TVs.

Add in Quantum HDR+, which brings stunning contrast ratios, and an EyeComfort Mode which adjusts the brightness depending on the ambient lighting conditions, and you’ve got the most enjoyable viewing experience around.

While it might be big, it’s still beautiful. The ultra-slim profile is ideally suited to wall-mounting, but if you prefer, you can use the stand instead.

All the smarts

The Q80C uses Samsung’s Tizen smart platform, which brings together all the best streaming apps in a fluid, visually impactful interface that’s endlessly user friendly. 4K films, TV shows and catch-up content is all available at the touch of a button, and lovingly presented in an easy-to-navigate layout.

An audiophile’s dream

Want surround sound without the extra speakers? The Q80C boasts Dolby Atmos virtual surround sound technology, which envelops you in a bubble of sound. It places you in the heart of the action.

But it’s not the only audio trick the Q80C has up its sleeve. Object Tracking Sound pins the audio to the corresponding part of the screen, so dialogue sounds like it’s coming straight from the characters’ mouths. And when the TV is paired with a Samsung soundbar (sold separately), the Q Symphony feature activates all the speakers of both devices, making for a much more resonant audio performance.

Gamer’s delight

It’s great for gamers too, and not only because of the huge screen size. Samsung’s Gaming Hub brings together games from leading platforms like Xbox with no separate console required. Just turn on the TV and let the games begin.

Motion Xcelerator Turbo Plus supports 4K/120Hz for the ultimate visuals with the lowest lag. And AMD FreeSync Premium Pro combines reduced screen tearing and stuttering with HDR visuals to make for the most lifelike gaming experience.

Big savings to be had
