PS5 stock is due at Amazon, Smyths Toys, John Lewis and AO as soon as today. Here's where to find a fresh PS5 restock in the next few days...

Both the PS5 disc and PS5 Digital Edition are due at Amazon UK today, Wednesday 1st September. The world's largest online retailer is expected to unveil its precious cargo of consoles between 8am and 9.30am.

The PS5 is here and it offers next-gen gaming, 3D audio and an innovative DualSense controller that helps immerse you in the action. The standard PS5 plays 4K Blu-ray discs but there's also the option of the cheaper (disc-less) PS5 Digital Edition.

Amazon isn't the only place to find PS5 stock this week, though.

Currys says a "limited" amount of PS5 consoles are available to pre-order now at the following list of stores. 

John Lewis is expected to drop today or tomorrow, 2nd Sept (7 - 8am).

Smyths Toys is pegged for the 31st – 4th Sept (8.30am - 4pm), according to trusted tipster @PS5StockAlertUK.

AO is said to be readying a PS5 stock drop for 31st Aug – 3rd Sept (10am - 1pm). AO often offers stock over the phone, so it could be worth giving them a ring.

Game's PS5 listings page has been updated with a new release date of 17th September, which suggests that Game could release PS5 stock on 7th - 9th September. 

EE has announced that new stock is "coming soon". Visit ee.co.uk/comingsoon to register your mobile number by 12pm on Wednesday 2nd Sept for SMS updates.

The new, lighter PS5 is now on sale in both Australia and the UK. If you want to check, the old PS5 serial model numbers are: CF1016A (disc) and CFI-1015B (digital). The new PS5 numbers are: CFI-1116A (disc) and CFI-1100B (digital).

With the semiconductor chip shortage expected to last until 2023, tomorrow's Amazon PS5 restock could be your best chance to buy a PlayStation 5 for a while. Check the latest PS5 stock on Amazon.

    If you have the PS4 Pro, there really isn't that much you're missing as few if any worthwhile games are PS5 only. I'd certainly wait until after the Christmas frenzy and then re-evaluate. If/when they release a PS5-only Elder Scrolls 6 or Assassins Creed after Valhalla, that would definitely nudge me, otherwise I'll probably wait for the mid-cycle PS5 Pro.

    There are some people who have money to burn and are desperate to have the very latest tech. I'm not one.
