Why you can trust What Hi-Fi?
With little fanfare Logitech has released a Mk2 version of its Award-winning £80 iPod dock. The big difference is that it's now ‘works with iPhone'-certified.
The previous 'Tech needed to be switched to ‘Airplane' mode to avoid electrical interference, which didn't let you receive calls. The hard carry case is now a softer bag but elsewhere, much is the same.
The speaker dock still cuts a sharp appearance and feels solidly built.
The dock comes with the usual array of connectors for the full spectrum of iPods, while there's a remote that gives you total control of your tunes.
Sonically, it still delivers an impressively large sound for such a small device, and it goes pretty loud, too.
All the vital components of good quality sound are here – no mean feat for an £80 iPod dock – ensuring plenty of detail is uncovered, plus there's punch and weight and impressive dynamics.
This remains an excellent proposition and simply the best value option all-round if you're in the market for an iPod speaker dock at this price-point.
