It's not often we comment on the aesthetic qualities of a cable, but there's something rather appealing about the finish of the Audioquest HDMI-1. You can manipulate it easily and the plugs give a good solid contact.
Impressive picture quality
Picture quality is impressive and the HDMI-1 is a dab hand when it comes to contrast. It also gives great results in the dark, while managing to maintain a solid, cohesive image – as the murky scenes in Sweeney Todd prove.
Sound quality is fine for the money, although the Chord HDMI Silver Plus 1.3 does give greater all-round results.
