The 2022/23 Premier League started earlier than usual to accommodate the Qatar World Cup. The action restarted on 26th December. The final day of the season will be Sunday 28th May 2023.
Liverpool have recovered from their rocky start and now chase both Manchester United and Newcastle for the two remaining Champions League spots. That makes it very much a three-horse race for third and fourth, with Brighton now only the remotest of mathematical possibilities. All the same, the Seagulls will be delighted with a tour of continental football next season. Two wins from their remaining three will seal it. They could easily get away with less depending upon how much Aston Villa and Tottenham have left in the tank.
The relegation scrap is a particularly tasty one to watch out for. Southampton are now down and guaranteed to finish last. Meanwhile Leicester, Everton and Leeds are all within three points of one another with two games to play. Two will join the Saints in the Championship next season. Leicester have the trickiest fixture – an away trip to Newcastle on Monday night.

Watch live 2022/23 Premier League matches from abroad with a VPN
Even if you have subscribed to the relevant Premier League 2022/23 rights holders, you won't be able to access them when outside your own country. The service will know your location based on your IP address, and will automatically block your access.
A Virtual Private Network (VPN) helps you get around this obstacle. VPNs are easy to use and create a private connection between your device and the internet. All the information passing back and forth is entirely encrypted.
There are many VPN providers out there, with some more reliable and safe than others. As a rule, we’d suggest a paid-for service such as ExpressVPN which offers a 100 per cent risk-free money back guarantee. If you're not happy with the service any time within the first 30 days, then you can cancel with no penalties at all.
