F1 2025 season preview
Seven drivers won multiple Grands Prix last year, as Max Verstappen secured his fourth consecutive drivers' championship and McLaren lifted the constructors' title for the first time in 26 years. With Lewis Hamilton's Ferrari move triggering an extraordinary chain reaction of driver changes, the 2025 F1 season should be seriously fun.
Carlos Sainz will bring race-winning pedigree to Williams, while Nico Hulkenberg has signed for Sauber and Esteban Ocon for Haas. Liam Lawson has replaced Sergio Perez at Red Bull, while Oliver Bearman is now a full-time Haas driver. Sauber have recruited reigning F2 champion Gabriel Bortoleto, Racing Bulls (née RB, née AlphaTauri, née Toro Rosso) have signed F2 runner-up Isack Hadjar, and Mercedes have shown faith in 18-year-old Andrea Kimi Antonelli.
One important rule change to note is that the fastest lap point has been scrapped, after the Red Bull teams abused the system last year. 2025 will also be the last time we see the current iteration of DRS, as well as Renault power units.
There will be just one pre-season test in 2025, in Bahrain, from February 26th to 28th. Six of the 24 races will incorporate a Sprint: the Chinese, Miami, Belgian, United States, Brazilian and Qatar Grands Prix. Read on as we explain how to watch F1 races online and on TV.
