About me
I am 19 years old, and from Devon, UK.
I work as a Web Developer. In my spare time I enjoy driving, swimming, cycling and climbing.
I like reptiles alot. I have two pet Snakes, one just over a foot and one slightly larger.
I like watching movies. My favorite genres would have to be Action, Comedy, Horror, Thriller. One of my favorite films is Anchorman.
I absolutely love music. Wherever I am, whatever mood/situation I am in I like listening to music. I like many genres of music, some which I don't even know. Those I do know are: Rock, Metal, UK HipHop, Garage, Drum & Bass, Trance, Hardstyle, Hardcore, Soul, Alternative, Chillout.
I'm outgoing, I am friendly and good to talk to. I like going out with friends, dancing the night away at various clubs & pubs. Drinkwise I love Budweiser, and Smirnoff export vodka with a splash of red bull.
I love 'proper' hifi systems. Not the junk you buy from Argos that appeals to the naive majority of the population who think lots of flashing lights means quality.
Unfortunately I don't have the funds to construct my 'perfect' system, but I am close to completing my first proper budget setup, the specs so far are as follows:
Pioneer VSX917VS Receiver
Denon DCD700AE CD player
QED QUNEX 3 Interconnect
Tannoy EFX 5.1
Pioneer 1080p upscaling DVD player
I'm going to buy either a pair of Tannoy or Mission floorstanders to replace the EFX front satellites. I also have my eyes on a Sony Minidisc deck, as I have tonns of old minidiscs I would love to hear again. I will also be purchasing a nice HD LCD when I have saved enough pennies! Not to mention HDMI leads, another interconnect and speaker wire. But I'll get there in the end!
I was inspired by my elder brother who was 'in' to hifi systems when he was my age. He was also subscribed to What-Hifi mag. His setup was a Harmon Kardon amp, Technics CD deck, Tannoy Speakers and a few other sepeartes.
I'm no gamer but I like the odd session on a racing or FPS game. And NOTHING beats a good old deathmatch on Goldeneye for the N64!
I guess that's about it!
Cheers,
Rob :)
