Am i puddled?

Having trawled through settings forums listening to other peoples opinions on settings for my panny th42px80, i have decided that in my opinion this looks the best- contrast middle, brightness middle, colour middle, SHARPNESS MAXIMUM!!!! Has anyone else found this works with plasmas or am i puddled and missing the point? i'm watching hd stargate atlantis and i'm convinced these setings work, i urge all th42px owners to try and reply. Thanks in advance.

Is the set new? If so it will almost certainly change overtime (And that sharpness would almost certainly need to come down some). Use a THX disc to see if its right or not.

thought this thread was about a stag do or something?

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

Try this after you reset the factory settings. I did on my px80 and when I used a THX later on I didn't have to change anythingYes

It takes a wee while to get used to. I came from a crt and thought....well you can guess. After a few days I was used to it and now the crt in the other room is over bright to my eyes.

As for the blinds, I have 2 x 6' french doors and 2 velux windows in the family room and I have no probs seeing the tv. Mind you there is very little reflection from these so that could be why.
