I am looking to replace my toshiba sd370e dvd player, i am going to use my ps3 for blu ray and buy a decent hdmi lead for that.

I have £100 to spend on a dvd player, any ideas..

Is there a reason why you won't play DVDs  through on the PS3  ? I do and it's a great picture.

The PS3 can play dvd's just fine, it doesn't come anywhere near as good as my XE1 but then that is one of the best upscalers i've seen. Have you had a look at the Toshiba XD-E500? 5* winner, and is getting great reviews everywhere for it's picture quality/upscaling abilities.

The new toshiba xd500 looks really good and was also looking at the oppo 980h.

I think i will preorder the new toshiba from amazon, its released at the end of the month.
