Pairing

I have a Naim Nait 5i this evening, now looking at some Mission E34's, anyone know if this would be a good pairing.

Re: Pairing

You better be quick if it's just this evening? Saying that the Naim is a bit of a Cinderella.

Are we talking the gigantic floorstanding ones here?

Re: Pairing

Yes I believe we are. No I don't think they will be a good pairing I'm afraid the Naim would struggle to power them, and it deserves better anyway. They also have a harsh top end which won't sit well with the forward Naim.

There are plenty of speakers that will sit nicely with this excellent amp though, what's your budget?

Usually with Naim, Neat come recommended.

Re: Pairing

Personally at this price point I'd be looking at stand mounters because you'll get alot more quality for the money.

Maybe try the Epos M12 and the B&W 685 both excellent speakers for the Naim.

Or are you hooked on floor standers?

True, and as I really believe in spending more on speakers than other components, I'd suggest ebay.
Neat mystique and neat motive 1 currently on offer.

Cheers Solomon1 I'll keep an eye on those motive1's. I'm in the market for speakers at the moment and was thinking motive 2's...
