On-line shopping

I'm not from the UK, but I want to buy some products without traveling there. How should I proceed?

I'm living in an EU member.

Thanks,

 Liviu.

Re: On-line shopping

You simply need to find a retailer willing to ship to your country, but you may find some brands harder to source this way due to distributors discouraging sales of this kind.

What are you trying to buy?

Re: On-line shopping

Hi Andrew,

I want to build a home-cinema system (high performer), but also with good performances for music listening. These kind of products (B&W, Monitor Audio, KEF, Bose, Pioneer) are difiicult to find in Romania and are mutch more expensive than in UK.

Re: On-line shopping

I think you might find some of those products difficult to buy online.

Re: On-line shopping

As Andrew says, and knows far better than I, some of those brands will be difficult to source on-line.

Best options I can think of are to contact the manufacturers directly to see if they can recommend a dealer to you (on-line or in-store) or to do as some of old customers used to do, and catch a cheap flight into the country, buy your gear, then ship it home.

We used to get a few customers from Sweden popping in for the day, buying a load of gear, then heading to the post office!

Re: On-line shopping

Just had a look at what they offering "brand new" motorbikes at, eg Honda Fireblade at approx £500.  Yep, thats £500 not £5000 Hmm   At £5000 it would have been hard to believe.  IMO it looks like something is seriously wrong here and I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole.
