APPALLING LACK OF COURTESY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE - AVOID ENTERTAINMENT LOUNGE

Had to write and let you all know about an appalling lack of service from the company Harvard Technology/Entertainment Lounge.

 Purchased a Harman Kardon AVR 350 from this company at the Ideal Home Exhibition.

 Unit was delivered on the 28th of March and was faulty.

 
45 Telephone calls and four promised failed delivery dates later, I'm still stuck with the faulty unit and the company has stopped taking my calls.

This has now got legal, but I would strongly suggest that you avoid this company.

For info they are based in Croydon (Whitgift Centre), Kingston (Fife Road) and Central London (Threadneedle Street).

Seriously, they are a joke!!!

Avoid all companies with appalling service
Arcam CD192/A85/P85/T61/DV79 biamped into Dali Ikon 6 speakers in the lounge and ProAc Tablette Reference 8 Signatures in the kitchen. Merlin and RA Mains cables, QED speaker cable and IXOS/Crystal Cable/vdh interconnects.

I must have walked past the Threadneedle St branch a hundred times and have never seen anyone in there!! Then again, I can only imagine the mark up prices. They sell B&O and it's in the City!!

Dear Sir,

We are dissappointed to learn of the problems you experienced with our service. I would like to ask you to contact me personally via anyone of our stores to allow me to deal with the issue, but we would like to address a couple of your points below:

1. We never avoid customer calls, so I suggest that you maybe calling the wrong telephone number perhaps?

2. If you would provide me with names of people you spoke to also, that would be great.

3. If a product is faulty we will always repair or replace it.

Lastly, we do try and learn from our errors, and clearly we have not met with your expectations. I have no records of faulty AVR350 purchased from the Ideal Home Show, so would be grateful if you can get in touch and refer to this communication.

Update. The Threadneedle Street branch has now closed down. No surprise there. The rent on the building they were in is circa £60k a year!!
