Has anyone listened to the Quad L-series Actives - 11L/12L?

I love Quad electronics in principle and their own partenering speakers - but have neither listened to their active studio monitors, not could I find any review on them. Are they as good as the passive L2s are when partenered with Quad's 99 or 909 power amps?
If any of you has auditioned them, please share your impressions.
Many thanks.

I'm running the 11L actives from a Rega Apollo via a Creek OBH-22 passive preamp...just as good, if not better, than Quad's passive version in my opinion. Keep in mind I like the integrated sound of the 11L as opposed to the slightly bassier, less defined, 12L. My speakers are on Epos stands (spikes on floor as well as top plate) about six feet apart and 11 inches from the back wall. The music is SO transparent it's not funny; forget any badly engineered CDs, they sound harsh at best. Put on jazz or classical, a Tamla pressing of anything Motown, St Germain / Jamiroquai et al, or weighty, well-produced rock...etc...etc...and these things are heaven for the money.

I don't own them, and I haven't heard them.  But I was looking for info on the 12L2, and came across this article:

http://www.georgeflanagin.com/12L.php

It's a review of the 12L Active.  It does seem as though the Actives are based on the older L design, not the L2 revision.

Also, there's this article:

Hope this is some help.  I just got these from typing "quad 12L active" into Google, so perhaps you've already seen them :)

They are OK for the money being slightly bright and dry bass. I wouldn't put them with Cyrus but I would put them with Premier if you get my drift!
