As in response to my earlier post new sony hd receiver......i mention about subwoofers and on hearing the b&w asw608 is there anything that can beat it at the £300 mark? would be helping a monitor audio br5 package.... thanks. hopefully i may get a response this time! Is the br5 package alright cos every question i ask about them falls flat on its feet?

We're testing the Monitor Audio Bronze BR5 package in the October 08 issue of the mag, on sale August 21st. We'll let you know then how it sounds...

Just got different Home Cinema shops saying the subwoofer isnt that good and 1 recommending a Rel T1 and the other a B&W asw608. Will wait to see what you guys say about it and if you can recommend an alternative sub if thats the case.

You mentioned testing the br5 package but in the mag you only tested the floorstanders......any idea when you will test the package?

Rel are a great brand of subs. I would audition before buying though.
