Audio switcher

Hi,

I just bought the ADM9s and they are terrific, however they only have one digital input. At a later stage I plan to plug my DVD player/recorder, a squeezebox duet and maybe a PS3 so I need a box where I could plug all those sources and easily select the one I want to send to the ADM9s. Ideally, the box would not affect the sound too much, would it?

After some research I found those products:

Linday

Audio Authority

Maplin box

Does anyone have experience with such a box or could recommend me another one? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Re: Audio switcher

Hi there

I have just bought a multichannel audio switcher maunfactured by a US company, Zektor, but supplied in the UK.  This is so that I can hook up my SACD player and soon a Blu-Ray via 5.1 analogue cables as I don't have a suitable AV amp/processor (i.e. no HDMI).  It's definitely not cheap but importantly there is no signal degradation.  Check out their website for all their products.

Thnk you for your input. Do you know if I could import one from the Uk to Switzerland?

No problem - call the importers for the UK, Ireland and Europe, The Media Factory, which is based in Scotland on 0044 (0)1968 661 803.  They have a website too.  The main guy there, Joe Fernand, is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable and will make sure you buy the right switcher (I got the MAS 7).  TMF can ship on the spot.  Good luck!
