Re: what film next

It was gonna be 'Hancock', but next will be 'Wanted'. I'm like a horny teenager when it comes to Angelina!!

Re: what film next

Prince Caspian even though the preview I`ve seen doesn`t appear to resemble the book at all which is the least interesting of the Narnia series of seven tales. Why don`t they do the Magicians Nephew or The Horse And His Boy which came before Caspian and were better books? The preview I saw looked more like The Return Of The King pt2!

Why am I going? Family outing of course.

Oh yeah. Forgot to mention that Caspian is supposed to be about 12 years old and the actor theyv`e got playing him is 26! (Might be 24 but I think he`s 26)

Well, have just watched Beowulf on the small screen, which was good fun. I didn't know he was a cockerney though - "I will kill your monsTAH".

But instead it just kept on raining

Lunch time we took our daughter to see Wall-E. The animation was great although it lacked dialogue. The main character is brilliant: A pair of binoculars on wheels - good fun, family film.

I watched 'The Cottage' on PPV the other night. Not too impressed TBH. Not particularly funny or gory. Andy Serkis & Reece Shearsmith are quite good in it though.

Not a bad film, just could have been much better.....And Jennifer Ellison is annoying, she just swears through the whole film.....Begins to give you a headache after a while.

"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides with the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who in the name of charity and good will shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon those with great vengeance and with furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know that my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee".

Oh Jules, you bad lad....!

As for the movies, just watched Cloverfield, 7 months late (quite good for me really) and not sure what's next to arrive from EasyCinema (effectively, LoveFilm minus any smutty titles... Smile ). Quite fancy Dark Knight though, the Bob Kane book a few years back was stunning.

Nice one.

No rehearsals this Sunday, so The Wife & I will probably go watch this instead.

Re: what film next

well i watched mama mia in a packed cinema last night, was one of about 5 blokes in about 150 women, every one stood up and danced at some point :-) yes that means me too....hey it was 30 women each what do you expect! :-)

i must say the locations are wonderful, the acting was great (but look who is in it) the singing was on the whole very good,

PB was a bit iffy at times, stellan skarsgard didnt sing much but was good (never knew he could do that!!)

Colin Frith and Julie Walters were underused as regards their comic ability but she can sing (him not so much)

but i must say that its a very good sweet light fluffy sing - a - long family film thats about missed chances for love and covering up true feelings

stay for the credits for PB, CF and SS camped up to the nines in 70's glam gear...people may mock stellan and Piearce in particular for doing somthing so ''low brow'' but good on em for doing something so different (singing!) and looking like their sooo having fun!

so it does what it says on the tin very well so its a 8 out of 10 from me :-)

Hi all,

Im gunno go down to the DVD store and buy every Elvis movie made then I'll camcord them burning in the oven.

At this point I watch replays on the big screen in the lounge drinking beer - best Elvis reruns you will ever see..............

Following this perhaps Prince ?
