Laptop to TV

A nice simple one! ( i hope!!!)


 Can some body point me in the right direction for a cable to hook my laptop upto my TV. I think i have been told i need a 15 pin connection for laptop end and super vhs for tv end, is this correct?

According to the specs, you've got a PC input socket on that TV, should look like this:


So, just use a standard PC monitor cable to hook this up (NB - the Maplin one is just an example, any male to male VGA cable will do).

which connectivity has better quality of transfer? the 15-pin----->15-pin OR 15-pin----->red/yellow/white(or super VHS)?

15 pin -> 15 pin (NB - this won't carry audio).

Sorry, no, should have explained better. The 15 pin output from your laptop won't export audio so doesn't matter what connection is on the end of it. To get audio, you'll probably need to run a standard 3.5mm mini-jack to RCA phono lead from the headphone socket unless your laptop has a dedicated line out port (which is unlikely I think).

Or you could buy a USB enabled external soundcard with more standard outputs. Depends on what quality you want really.
