LOL!

Imagine I'll pick up a copy. Hope it's more ...And justice for all (My personal fave), than the last few efforts ;)

Re: Metallica - Death Magnetic

I like them all apart from St. Anger which I only play it twice (just to make sure that I really hate it!)

Load and Reload were very under rated imo.  The songs like Until it sleep and bleeding me are works of genius.  although rumour has it that this new album could see them back in puppets era so should be good...eh?

...Weirdly I quite like St Anger. And wasnt so keen on Load. But I don't listen to the genre a huge amount these days. But will be very interested to see how it sounds anyway.

I need another 'One'

"Back to '..Puppets' era"?

WooHoo!!!!

I've pre-ordered mine on Play. Sadly though, they don't excite me as they did 20 years ago.

I predict the new Slipknot album, out around the same time, will be a more interesting and exciting listen.

.....And Justice For All is my personal favourite. Really get your adrenalin going especialy the double pedals on One. Dont really like the new bassist, Jason Newstead was OK but CLiff Burton rules.

James didn't like Jason too and he turn his bass track right down in the mix for justice album.

The new bassist, rob Trujillo is pretty good.  He seem to gel better in his last band (Ozzy)

Re: Metallica - Death Magnetic

Anyone heard the S&M tracks, where Metallica collaborated with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra? The DVD sounds great through a potent AV amp and speakers.

My brother has it. He's a die hard Metallica fan, they can do no wrong in his eyes.

I'm too old school for S&M. I'll just stick my 'Cliff 'em all' VHS on instead!

Re: Metallica - Death Magnetic

To me, S&M is not as good as Cunning Stunts, let alone their previous videos like Cliff 'em all and also those San Diego Part 1 and 2 videos. I recorded the S&M onto a minidisk so that I dont have to watch the orchestra playing and just try to focus on Metallica music instead LOL.

Wow, never thought I would see the name Suicidal Tendencies again. How about Pantera? Any fans out there? And also Nailbomb?

Re: Metallica - Death Magnetic

I was a major Pantera fan. I bought 'V.D.O.P' when it came out and was blown away by the band. 'F.B.D' was even better IMO and when they released 'T.G.S.T' i was astounded that they'd bettered themselves again! Unfortunately, 'R.T.S' sucked and I lost interest after that. I bought the Damageplan CD, but it wasn't anywhere near as good as Pantera at their prime.

Nailbomb were OK. Too much drum-machine & repetition for me. Max should have just stuck it out with Sepultura instead, they've never been the same since he left.

Best straight up metal band of the moment IMO, have to be Lamb of God. Finished watching their 'Walk With Me In Hell' DVD this morning.....Jeez they're good. 'Sacrament' is an amazing album.
