Exactly, and now a product has arrived that skews the performance/pound ratio my such a large amount that I cant see how 5 stars could be justified for any other product of that type. Do you get my drift?

There's always competition in different price categories and when a product like the Cyrus comes along, it raises the bar for everyone.

Moving forward, we'll obviously consider the Cyrus when looking at any CD player but the real excitement will be what happens next and how everyone else 'moves forward'.

Agreed. Should have the likes of Arcam, Naim, Roksan, et al (plus the japaneese manufacturers) scratching their heads!
