Here`s a Barber Shop Quartet -

Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Steve Perry and Steve Balsamo!

I wouldn't like to sing with Frankie! Swing and "the King" doesn't go well together! A ha ha. (I even sang "My way" better than that blue eyes boy :-)

...and the Welcome Home Elvis concert thrown by Frank wasn't the proudest moment for either of them (as anyone will know who's ever listened to Sinatra's Duets albums). Amazing viewing figures, though - 41.5 percent of the US audience. Blimey.

Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra

It's not on this one Picture of - Frank Sinatra Duets or indeed not on this Picture of - Frank Sinatra Duets & Duets Ii: 90th Birthday Edition: 2cd either!

Which album was it Clare?

PS. that was quite a party!  I couldn't remember much about it apart from all that hamburgers tasted lovely.

If a genie grants you the opportunity to put together the greatest group of all time, dead or alive, who would you choose?

My choice is a little obscure, but here goes:

Drums: Cozee Powell (Rainbow)

Bass: Graham Maybe (Joe Jackson band)

Keyboards: Jools Holland

Guitars: Wilko Johnson (Dr. Feelgood)
Richie Blackmore (Rainbow)

Vocals: Jeff Buckley

I've deliberately missed the obvious choices.

My selection mixes musical types ie jazz with rock:

Drums- 1.Neil Peart 2.Carl Parmer 3.Phil Collins

Bass- 1.Jaco Pastorius 2.Geddy Lee 3.Chris Squire 4.Phil Lynott

Guitar- 1.Jimmy Hendrix 2.Toni Iommi 3.Randy Rhodes 4. Jeff Healey (see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rBBCJ68mC4c and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MJh3KaIKDAw&feature=related) 5.Slash 6.Gary Moore 7.Jan Akkerman

Keyboard- 1.Rick Wakeman 2.Keith Emerson 3.Jon Lord 4.Tony Banks 5.Thijs van Leer 6.The keyboardist in PFM

Wow Anton, there`s some real talent there! I was just thinking though that you`ll need a big stage to fit that lot on!

Couldn`t choose John Duncan because of contractural reasons and the fact that we haven`t got room in the back of the Bedford for his nine guitars which he insists on taking with him to every gig!Smile

Anyone else notice that John D. hasn`t yet denied taking all nine guitars to every gig. Wink

Nor do I think a Bedford van would suffice?

Can`t believe I`ve gotten away with using the term! Gives me hope...

Have I got a thing about them? Yes, they wash your hair nicely before cutting. Very relaxing! Also they always make me a nice cup of Coffee
