Yes this is the reason why I don't like Logitech solution.. although I like the kit.. Transporter for sound system and receiver for other room.. and cool remote control.. :) and apart from Transporter the rest is cheap!

UPNP is at least some standard like DNLA which can be found in more NAS drives.. I quite like the Buffalo Live or the new mini.. Currenly I have the pro but not DNLA/UPNP support.. I might get one of the new ones and connect my existing to this (aparently it can be done) and then I could use it for PS3 as well. Cool.

As for a NAS, the best ones are based on Microsoft's Windows Home Server platform.

Additionally, I have it working with a Loewe Connect, which does the same for video-streaming as the Linn DS (although built in in a good-looking HDTV)
