Re: The greatest rock/pop band?

I'm going with a blend of performance and songwriting ability:

Vocals - Elvis Presley (what did you expect!)

Guitars - Pete Townshend, Marco Pirroni

Bass/vocals - Paul McCartney

Keyboards/vocals - Ray Charles

Double Drummers - Ginger Baker, Dave Grohl

I'm not. I'm 'accomplished', but not 'red hot'. I'm a better singer (subjectively).

And I started on the trumpet, but my lips were too fat, so they gave me a tenor horn instead........

So you have blown your own trumpet!. . .sorry, couldn't resist it.

"Bring back public boiling!!" I hear people scream. I'll send a written apology once I've learnt to master the art of joined-up writing.

Well if we're doing pictures... Wouldn't have minded being in the audience when The Million Dollar Quartet were having their Sun singalong

Cool pic JD. Is that a Gibson you've got there?

I would post some pictures but for 2 really good reasons: Firstly, I can't play a single note. And secondly, I'm still learning how to email images on the P.C.

Yours Mr. Saddo (again)

Isn't it? Big Smile

It's not a real Gibson no, it's a Tokai replica, with a Gibson logo on the headstock, for impressing the guitarists in the audience (the ladies don't give a damn).

Not my main guitar now though, which is a Parker.

Re: The greatest rock/pop band?

I had guitar lessons in the late 80's and conceded that I had as much natural ability as a stick insect. Nevertheless, I have a cheapo Hohner acoustic and a Gibson copy, which someone gave me about two years ago.
