Re: missed that bit on account set up - sorry

well, someones telling porkies and needs to put their emotions in a box and be honest with themselves for a moment. i mean, with 2 such opposing stories, that has to be the case, on one side or the other.

but as for masquerading as customers, when a straight reply could have been offered to begin with...thats just pathetic and offensive.

No-one's suggesting anything of the sort, al7478 - it's just that while it was clear from the content of Steve's original post that it was from someone from Martins, I just wanted him to make it crystal-clear to the casual Forum browser.

Re: missed that bit on account set up - sorry

Why on earth would someone masquerade as a customer and badmouth his own shop?

Re: missed that bit on account set up - sorry

I'll try again.

The first point i was making was that the customer or the retailer have the story a little skewed - thats jsut logic; one (or both, actually), have to be telling a far less than objective story.

The other point i was making is not about a retailer slagging of their own shop, but about those 2 posts (which you picked up on too) defending the shop, written by people who clearly have an agenda.

Did I? All I said was "You see, the shop must be good. At least two people have signed up today just to tell us they think so..."

Not really all you said - theres the small matter of your next reply, to Thaiman. The meaning of which, im sure people will drawer their own conclusions about.

anyway, this has got silly. you seem keen on defending yourself when it isnt you i was being critical of, as it isnt you who deserves it.

i think the point i was originally making has been made clear now, so thats all from me.

Howabout my own experienced!

I went in Martins to have a look at some speakers a while back and I thought sale man was very polite (big chap with dark hair).  However, it didn't take long before Chords signature was recommended to me!

Huddo (another member here) also have a similar experienced!  He came out with few set of cables that he didn't intend to buy, cd player was what he went in for....bless his nylon socks Smile

You really are reading a lot into this. A lot of people only sign up to make one point or ask one question, and then unfortuanately are never seen on the Forums again.

Re: missed that bit on account set up - sorry

I really feel sorry that all these people are dissing martins.

Ive used them for years and still do most of my current setup has been installed by them and they have been exremelly helpful throught the years especially steve and Marcus.

We recently had a lightning stike on our house which basically destroyed my entire setup, with the help of both steve and marcus they have helped me no end with my new setup and if i had any questions at all they were always on hand to help.

I think this is really bad that one idiots comments and eveyone jumps on the bandwagon to say something bad about them.

I can understand why people only post one comment on here and never come back when all someone appears to do is critersise them.

pinch of salt all round eh?

i mean, where exactly do you get off calling someone an idiot for reporting their experience.

he may be reporting it a little less than objectively, as i said earlier, but then he wouldnt be the only one now, would he?

Eh, eh - calm down, calm down!

We won't get anywhere if this descends into name-calling and insinuations.

Re: missed that bit on account set up - sorry

funny that...

All of defending members are forum newbies!

Forum like this is the place where members posting their hand on experienced either with HiFi gears, dealers or music therefore some negative comments are quite normal as well as positive ones,

There is another thread a while back praise Martins HiFi as a good honest dealer with over 20 years of experience, let face it if he is not good at service the shop would be shut down long time ago!

As far as how this thread is heading, I wouldn't be surprise that Mr. E will put on Queen's "another one bite of dust" records before lock it.
