I was thinking it would be a great idea to show you all me building my Home Theater system over the next 3-4 Months . . . . . . . .


To Start with im going to show you some picture's of my current system i have.

My Current Setup :

Denon 1507
HP w2207 22-inch Widescreen Flat Panel
KEF PSW 2010 Sub
Montior Audio BR2 Fronts
Monitor Audio BRLCR
PS3

The System im going to Build & Design:

Pioneer 5090
Onkyo TX-SR875
B&W 685 Theatre ( All in Black )

White or Black Cabinet
Walls to be painted all white

Ill be getting the Pioneer 5090 Plasma First then the rest :) Ill upload more pics asap. Thanks

thats just what i thought! Hope there's going to be a nice rack in there somewhere.

Gonna stay with the PS3 as your source?

The KEF Sub is rubbish to tell the truth and even at Full Volume wouldnt make the speaker or Monitor Move :) ,
I was thinking about just getting the Sony Receiver since im only after the True HD Sound and thats it really mate , Also its Black so will look good , Im going to stick with the PS3 as the main source at the moment as i do watch alot of Blu-Rays from Love-Film.com and im very happy with the Quality i get from it , I also play Fifa 2008 and Grandtheft Auto IV on it aswell. I may look at upgrading to a Standalone Blu-Ray player at somepoint , Im pritty sure if i do it will be one of the new Pioneer Models ,

If you guys can give me some Ideas at what Receiver you think i should get or Blu-Ray player then please say so and ill look in to it. Ill be happy to pay anything up to around say £1000 on each item.

Im just aiming to get it done by the end of the year with say £700 - 800 Budget each month.

You can save some money by avoiding the PV1. Overpriced. And it certainly wont support your screen ;)

Im not sure what you mean Frog when you say Support the screen ? Do you mean the PV1 will Break it ? If not the PV1 what Sub do you think i should get ? B&W to match the set , Just so you know i like Good Base in Films . The Explosions have to stand out !

The PV1 is undoubtably a good sub, but you can get a whole lot more for the money. Look at the BKElectronics range...You will get far bigger explosions for less money ;)

Iv finished paiting the walls all white , ill upload a picture tomorrow.

I like the idea of showing us from the start. I have to say though that's the first time I've seen a centre speaker dwarf the screen!

As for subs, try the RSW12 - you will buy it!
