Lexicon Rv5 Front Small-1

Lexicon's RV-5 receiver is now on sale - and if you trade in any working AV amp or receiver, complete with its remote control, you can get £500 off the £3000 price-tag.

Or as distributor CSE puts it, 'Cinema sound fans can now experience the heart-stopping speed and natural 3-D precision of the finest and most sophisticated digital audio processing on the planet, for as little as £2500!'

The RV-5 is a 7x85W receiver with automatic set-up, video upconversion and upscaling to 720p/1080i, and two HDMI inputs and one output. It also has three component inputs, and four composite/S-video, four optical/electrical digital ins, six line-ins, eight-channel analogue input and 7.2-channel preouts.

There's also a multiroom output, a USB input and even a connector for an iPod dock, while the unit has Lexicon's celebrated Logic 7 surround processing in addition to the usual Dolby and DTS decoders.
