NEWS: LG's "1000W" all-in-one system

New from LG is the HT902TB, a home cinema in a box system complete with floorstanding speakers, 1080i upscaling and the company's SimpLink HDMI control system. It's just in the shops at just under £300, and the company says "Complete with 1000 watts of listening power, not only does this system exude flair but features the very latest in home cinema functionality."

LG Ht902Tb L Lge The system uses XTS Pro digital amplification, and as well as the usual decoding has Virtual Sound Matrix, which creates five virtual speakers in addition to the six real ones supplied.

There's a 3.5mm stereo input socket for iPods and similar players, and a USB port through which portable storage devices can be connected, and the system will play all the recordable flavours of DVD, plus DivX discs.
