A decent, impressive system. But the performance, at the money, doesn't hit the musical heights
Cambridge Audio's One is a simple but attractive micro system, and you get a lot for the money
This Yamaha system doesn't quite scale the sonic heights of rivals, but find it at a knockdown price and it's a tempting proposition
If you’re on a budget this is a great little versatile system – pay more for a jump in sound quality
All-in one CD/DAB/iPod dock system, with a warm, lush and slightly reserved sound
Accomplished performance, SD card and USB inputs combine with great style, price, flexibility and performance - the Hitachi is something of a winner
Flat panel speakers, plus a subwoofer makes for something a bit different from TEAC - the sound is acceptably good without blowing you out of the water
Unlike most micro systems we encounter, this TEAC is DVD-ready, but even with video piped via its HDMI it lacks something in picture quality terms
There was a gap between the micro system and 'proper' hi-fi separates – consider it filled by the excellent Reference 600
