The closed-back A700s look tidy but possess a cheap feel to the build. As with the Audio-Technica AD1000s, you get a spacious soundscape that’s very inoffensive, but in this case woefully cluttered as well.

You also get a thin treble and protruding bass, although the mid-range comes across as sweet and vocals offer emotion when required.
