Separates will always offer a little more, but for an all-in-one, the Arcam is near-perfect

I bought the Arcam Solo Mini after owning the Denon D-M37DAB for a while and as good as the Denon is for the money the Arcam blows it out of the water, particularly in terms of dynamic drive. I read elsewhere here that opinion is not so glowing but I would not recommend it's use with Muso speakers as whilst they are clean sounding they do lack "grunt". Try Wharfedale Diamond 10.1 or as I have the EB Acoustics EB1.Also the clock on mine works fine! I listened to a lot of kit before plumping for the Arcam and only the Linn Classik at ???1400 and the Naimuniti at ???1995 offered any real competition!!

5 stars! I don't think so, take my advice do not spend this amount of money on this. My Harmon Kardon ipod dock knocks spots of it and I only paid £149 (half price. I teamed the mini with the muso speakers and they have no punch whatsoever even after being 'run in'. Support from Arcam is rubbish as they will try and pass you back to the dealers - the clock on mine has never worked.

Take my advice an stay well clear of this.
